Question by Tom: Is it possible to do Debt Consolidation on payday loans while in a consumer proposal?
I’m currently in a consumer proposal with a remaining balance of 00, I recently got my self cought up in 4 payday loans worth 00 and i’m stuck in the payday cycle. My question is, is it possible to get a debt consolidation done on these payday loans while in my proposal. I can not get a loan anywhere because of the consumer proposal. Thanks

I have honestly never heard of a consumer proposal, but if I can think my way through the definition, I know it will entail you negotiating your loan balance and payoff type and time. So I wouldn’t attempt to consolidate a loan you are proposing to payoff in the near future..seems like a catch 22 to me.

I owe about 10,000 on medical bills and about 5,000 on other unsecured items. I earn about 40,000.00 before taxes. Is there a company who can and will give me a debt consolidation loan with bad credit and no homeownership? I am trying to help myself.

Can auto loans be part of a debt consolidation loan?

If so, does anyone know where to get one with the auto loan?

A lender doesn’t particularily care what the debts are that are paid with a consolidation loan.

They don’t even really watch to see if you pay off debts with the loan which is one reason it can be so dangerous.

Apply at your local bank, list all the loans you plan to pay off and see if your credit is good enough to qualify.
